Comfort is the base, Superior the same but larger. Signature liegt im neueren Trakt, die Superior Suite ist das grösste Rooms im Haus. Alle klimatisiert, alle mit Balkon oder Terrasse, eingerichtet mit Stücken von Marken wie Vitra und Polyform — dazu Textilien, Leuchten und kleine Details, die nicht nach Hotel aussehen, sondern nach Zuhause.

Travelling solo? Choose Comfort or Signature as a Single. Couples find Doubles in several variants — from Comfort with balcony to Signature Superior. Families sleep with balcony or with terrace and direct garden access. Want more space? Take the Suite. Stay regularly? You’ll soon have a favourite room.

Starting in 1996 at Krone Inzlingen, the family house on the Swiss border. Today owner and operator of Hotel Eckert.

His aspiration: to run a place where you arrive and don’t have to explain yourself. Empfang, Rooms, Service — bewusst gewählt, persönlich geführt. Wer hier eincheckt, merkt: jemand achtet darauf.

Outdoor pool 8 × 4 metres, heated to 22–24 °C in summer, open daily 9–21. Right next to it a generous lawn in the green — for drying off after a swim, for reading, for doing nothing.

16 chickens live on the grounds. Bench in front, sit down, watch — works for adults and children alike. Pure deceleration!

In the spacious gym you train on Life Fitness equipment.

Ten minutes by car in every direction, another world. To the west: Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, Beyeler in Riehen, Basel old town with cathedral and art museum. To the east: the Black Forest, right behind the house. To the north: the Markgräflerland with its Gutedel vineyards.

Five kilometres from Basel city, ten minutes to Basel SBB train station, fifteen to EuroAirport. Grenzach train station five minutes on foot, a bus to Basel city centre every 15 minutes. Three charging stations, parking in front of the door, no fee.
